Data is the lifeblood of enterprise software. Without good data, a great platform like Salesforce will lose the attention of its users. Because Appirio is a Global Strategic Partner of Salesforce, many of our customers have some sort of legacy system with which they need Salesforce to integrate or from which they need to migrate data. For instance, many customers will upgrade their sales or service operations with Salesforce but will want to maintain Oracle EBS or SAP for product fulfillment. Customers might also connect with other systems for pricing, supply chain, or analytics. Increasingly, many of our customers rely on Dell Boomi’s integration platform, AtomSphere, to solve their complex data problems.
Dell Boomi has pre-built connectors for over 100 existing database/CRM solutions — including Salesforce, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and QuickBooks. This gives those of us at Appirio confidence that we will be able to connect to nearly any solution our customers are using.
In the off chance that their tool does not have a built-in connector, Dell Boomi has other ways to connect. Its “visual” data roadmap-style interface allows us to build complex integrations and explain them to our customers in a simple format that is easy to maintain. And because we live in an imperfect world, it’s important to note that Dell Boomi’s error-data logging is top-tier. If there is a problem with any one step, it is easy to track it down, troubleshoot resolutions, and deploy changes.
In much the same way that Dell Boomi AtomSphere is a great way to connect data to get the most out of Salesforce, Dreamforce is a great way to connect with people to do the same. As Salesforce expands its functionality through tools like Wave Analytics, and expands into industry solutions, getting data right is more important than ever.
